What is a silent disco? Will people actually dance?

A silent disco is an event where guests listen to music through wireless headphones instead of loudspeakers. Everyone can dance together while choosing their own music channel.

Yes. Silent discos offer novelty, choice, and freedom and get even reluctant dancers involved.

Is it difficult to set up and use?

Not at all. Setup takes 5 minutes, all devices are battery powered. We provide clear instructions and setup guide. You just attach your music playing device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc). We can even provide sample playlists that are sure to get the party started.

How can I book and pay?

Contact us to check availability via text message using the WhatsApp buttons above, or the contact form to send us an email.

Payment is by cash, Revolut, or credit card. A security deposit is required and will be refunded once the equipment is returned in good condition.

Where do I collect the equipment? Do you offer delivery?

We are based in Dublin 15 and typically serve Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow, but of course collection is welcome from anywhere. Please contact us if you need to arrange delivery.

Exactly what equipment is provided?

The kit contains the wireless headphones, the transmitters, and the cables you need to connect to your music playing devices. Adapters are provided for iPhone and Android devices.

Is the music is included as part of the package?

Generally the music is up to you. You can play whatever you like from two phones or tablets or computers etc. Most people use an ad-free streaming service subscription like Spotify or Apple Music. If needed we can point you to some tried and trusted Spotify playlists that are sure to get the party going.

How does the music work. Do I need to DJ?

Different people have different preferences.

Some people just press play on their party playlists for the whole time and let the guests switch as they prefer. Very hands-off.

Others prefer to curate a bit more and will start with a playlist but change it around a bit depending on the audience and reaction.

Others still do full-on duelling DJs trying to win the crowd onto their channel.

Whichever works for you, it is always fun.

 

How long will we have the equipment for?

Booking are made on a per night basis. You collect the equipment on the day of your event, and return it the day after it ends.

Do you provide adapters to recharge the equipment?

Both the transmitters and headphones are battery operated. They will be provided to you fully charged, and will last more than 24 hours. For multi-night bookings, we will provide chargers.
